5 Tips on preparing for the right career

All of us remember being asked about our aspirations as kids. Anybody we met would ask us “what do you want to be when you grow up?” So as kids we are encouraged to go wild with our imagination and dream of being whatever we want to be. But how is it fine for the parents to encourage a child to explore themselves, ask them to be creative and innovative and then suddenly shut down this process once they are 15 or so, just to make them take up the “safer options” of education? This makes us college students wonder whether the careers we take up is ultimately a choice made by our parents or us.

MSDE launches 100-hour Course under PMKVY to help GST Implementation

To complement the roll out of Goods and Services Tax (GST) with appropriate skill-based training, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched a short course to certify GST practitioners under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). The main objective of this course is to smoothen the transition to GST, the nation’s new tax regime and a historic tax reform that comes with many challenges of implementation.

NSDC and Schneider Electric partner to strengthen Skill India mission

This skilling needs of this sector is soon going to get fulfilled with joint initiatives from NSDC and Schneider Electric. On 21st June 2017, NSDC and Schneider Electric signed an MoU to partner and strengthen the Skill India mission with some strategic programs.

Skilling 1.17 crore people and other achievements in 3 years of MSDE

The current government recently completed three years and skill development and vocational training has been one of the key points on the agenda towards inclusive growth and development. In a press conference held on this occasion,Shri. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), shared many achievements in the area of skill development. He stated that MSDE has trained more than 1.17 crore aspirants in various skills through many short and long term skilling programs since the inception of Skill India in 2015. This is apart from the numbers contributed through skill development schemes and initiatives under other Central Ministries.
